Hi,
I have problem when I am using stanford sr400. During the measure, it has probability to stop counting for a few seconds and then count 0 all the time. I have seen people who have issue with T preset or data buffer overflow, but as I have few experience for this counter, I don't know exactly what is the problem. Besides, is there any issue with the stability of this counter?
My solution right now is to shut down the counter and reboot again, then problem solved for a few of measures. But problem will arise again. Any other permenant way to solve the problem?
Thanks

Hi John,
Is this a LabVIEW question or a question about your photon counter?
If your question is about LabVIEW, would you post some example code or link to the instrument driver you're using?

JohnBrown,
Have you tried using the instrument driver for the SR400?
Searach http://www.ni.com/idnet
There appears to be a driver for LabVIEW 8.2.1. I don't remember if these VIs will open in LabVIEW 8.0. You can always install the evaluation version of current LabVIEW and take a look at the instrument driver code and run the examples.
