sub vi in while loop does not stop while loop

Thank you for your help. 

I have solved the problem. 

This is what I saw - when the highlight execution was on, the sub vi showed running through an iteration.  The while loop did not.  For every input from the while loop into the sub vi, the sub vi ran three times.  I don't know why.

The solution was to re-write the sub vi, and insert the new one.  This sub-vi was from a previous project.  I have seen some problems with MS report generation VIs that do not operate if they are copied.
