Sorry, I don't mean to be rude, but it's obvious you have no idea what you are doing.
You are making this much, much harder than it needs to be because you don't understand the basics.
All of this nonsense about opening VIs by reference and reading control values by name is complete nonsense!
The correct way to do this is very, very easy:
(1) Place your sub-VIs inside your main VI
(2) Wire the data input and output to the connectors on the icons.
Please read the basic LabView tutorials. http://www.ni.com/academic/students/learnlabview/basics.htm
If you do this, I will help you. If you do not, I will not help you.

Thanks a lot. I am only a beginner who is just learning LabVIEW. Will go through the tutorials and resolve this issue. In case of any doubts, i hope you can help me out.
I know I am making my program complex, but i was going through subpanel example, so thought this would serve my purpose. Anyways, will change the code so that it uses sub VIs.
