subscription based licenses for current Embedded Control Monitoring Suite

Dear all,

my company has 2 active Embedded Control Monitoring Suite SSP. Am I understanding correctly that starting with January we have to pay EU 4820 for each license where we normally paid EU 2900 for each seat? This with in mind of decreasing local support and services. 

We are using RT and FPGA so the ECM suite is still the best way to go (I suppose).

I see the 1 year subscription is $5,184 USD and the perpetual $12,955 USD. I do think it will be more expensive overall. But, what kind of license do you get for the EU 2900?

@gregory thank you for your respond. We have the control measurement suite. This suite was purchased previously. It is announced that all licenses will move to subscription. So normally we were paying 2900 euro service contract (SSP) for each license. Now we have to pay 4820 euro ; an increase of 66% !

This with local service no local technical support. In this way it is difficult to defend LabVIEW in an organization where also Python is used very often.

You can lock in for up to three years at the cost of your current SSP at the end of your SSP period for a subscription plan but after that the yearly lease is indeed on average almost double of what the SSP was.

Considering that you use RT and FPGA, the option to let the SSP lapse and not change to a subscription and just stay for the foreseeable future with 2020 SP1/2021 is not very attractive, but I’m sure that will happen often for simple LabVIEW licenses without specialistic Toolkits.
