I have reinstalled all of our copies of labview starting with oldest and ending with newest. The power spectrum error seems to have been fixed as I am no longer recieving this error. Must of been a factory preset VI that came w/ labview and had been corrupted during un-installing all of the old versions we had installed.
Still getting a MB INIT error. probably getting this error b/c our NI cRIO 9233 hasn't been callibrated on the new computer?
That error means that an input to a property node is invalid for some reason. Can you post the MB Serial Init.vi code? Can you also run it with highlighting on to identify which property node exactly the error is coming from?

well despite the previous error i posted, when asked to either continue running or stop the VI, I can continue running the VI and acquire the data that we were needing for our product.
Thanks Mike Porter for all the insight and help. Now onto learning how to use Labview better.
