swept sine control

Hello everyone,

Has anyone been able to implement a swept sine program for an electrosynamic shaker (analogue output signal) where the stimulus chanel is read and corrected through a controller for constant forcing amplitude either base acceleration or forcing amplitude?

I have the swept sine vi from sound and vibration toolkit with an NI 6259 DAQ board everything runs fine with my power mplifier and shaker and laser sensor for measuring the FRF however the stimulus channel does not provide a constant value it changes throughout the testing and I would like to correct this as the program is running.

If anyone has any suggestions it is most appreciated

Hi Tanju,

Can you provide additional information on the electrodynamic shaker? Make, model or datasheet?

Are you using a PCI, PXI, or USB 6259 device?

What value are you expecting to output and what values is it changing to? Is it fluctuating or just not providing the correct voltage?

When you say you would like to correct this while the program is running, do you mean that you would like to dynamically change the output?

Hi Carli,

I have attached an image of my application with my PID controller. My shaker is a sinocera JZK-5 modal shaker. I have a force sensor connected to a device say I designate the force to be 0.5N I need the controller to correct the value it is at each frequency to give me a constant forcing amplitude. THe USB NI 6259 is the hardware I am using. at this point the tuning does not work effectively only in some cases however at resonance it does not tune well at all.

Your help is most appreciated

Hey Tanju,

Do you have a datasheet for the Sinocera JZK-5 modal shaker? I haven't been able to find any information on how it functions.
