switch configuration

what gives.  I am a newbie and I see that in the code, the statement is made that we set the PXI2527 to the 64x1 mode.  strange that in the setting of a certain switch is following hte 32x1 mode and NOT the 64x1.  What gives here?  What am I missing???

What are you talking about? What code? Unless you believe you are paranoid, then we are not standing there looking over your shoulder, so we cannot see what you are doing, so do us a favor and explain what it is that you are talking about.

Sorry for not being more specific.

The PXI is set to the 64x1 archecture.  The channel (switch) is set to "ch7."  The test is that the DMM should measure 12VDC, and indeed it does.

HOWEVER

the 12VDC is NOT connected to "ch7" rather it's wired to "ch14"   "Ch14" and "ch15" are used for the 32x1 "ch7"  By all means that I see, this measurement should have failed.  It didn't.  Is there a setting I'm not aware of here?  Still confused on this.

Hi zok4me,

I'm glad to hear we have a new user of National Instrument's switches. A great starting place for learning about how to use your NI switch is the NI Switch Getting Started Guide. For more information on switch topology please see Understanding Switch Topologies. Can you give us a little more information about your application? Are you configuring your setup in MAX and using Test Panels along with DMM soft front panels to read the voltage off of ch7, or are you using a LabVIEW program? Are you able to verify that your topology is set to 64x1?
