synchronizing two systems

Hi,

I have two separate systems running separate VIs (Not on the same machine) and they both read and write to a shared variable.  Is there any way to synchronize the two systems that use the shared variable?

Perhaps you can give a little more detail in what you are trying to do.  What are you trying to synchronize between the two systems?  DAQ timing?  The values of variables?
