system error 31 lvrt.dll

Hi,

http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/System-Error-31-while-loading-the-LabVIEW-Run-Time-Engine/m-p/796745...

there is a link to KnowledgeBase article http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/110B7341869E3D7A86256B350072E6A9?OpenDocument

I get an answer: You are not authorized to view this document

Is it possible to find and get this old article?

I see similar error message on my sreen. I try to use old Danfoss software, which uses Labview.

Bad luck that the link to the document does not work.

Do you a meaningful error message that leads you to the run-time engine version that is missing?  If it does, have you checked that the appropriate run-time is installed?

Hi,

Runtime was installed, that was not the reason. I think that reason was missing DCOM (Distributed Component Object Model) for Windows 95. Installing DCOM made LabVIEW runtime system working. Waking up old software is interesting: 1. find a computer old enough 2. find and get all old software components needed. Today DCOM is identified as harmful code, downloading process wanted to delete it immediately.

Broken document link is a problem. We should add to document links some information about linked document so that it is possible to search it when the link is not working

thanks VesaU
