It was. I was trying to open it with 8.6

However, I tried to post a retraction to my last post. The vi works now, and once again you have given my work a great boost. I've spent some time on this with little success, so I'm going to accept it as the solution.

Sometimes when you are dealing with multiple versions of LV, what version will open next when you double click on a VI is sometimes a pure guessing game based on what version you may or may not have used last.

On the forums, you only get a 10 minute window for when you can go back and edit your last post.

I have my office desktop pc loaded with 8.6, and my laptop open alongside it with 2009, and things get so hectic that I often forget which one I'm actually working on (usually both at the same time)

Talk about multitasking......
