If you have LV7 you can use the functions under the application control>>events you can register and unregister events. This should allow you to do what you need. If you 6.1 you cannot perform this. Even if you hide the event structure in a case that will not be executed the event will trigger. This is a bug in LV. There is alot of documentation about this in the NI knowledge base.
