temporarily stopping event handling

Is there a way to stop a certain event from being handled and the restart it later?

If you have LV7 you can use the functions under the application control>>events you can register and unregister events. This should allow you to do what you need. If you 6.1 you cannot perform this. Even if you hide the event structure in a case that will not be executed the event will trigger. This is a bug in LV. There is alot of documentation about this in the NI knowledge base. Hope this helps.

You can use the same approach that AlS gave you on your previous question. To restart the event all you have to do is set the value back to zero that you are sending to the shift register.

Hope this helps.
