timing

I have a timing problem that I am trying to figure out.  I am creating a functional test that is a period reading for my daq continuity check.  If my relay closes within 1000 ms I want it to stop my loop, pass and go onto the next test, but if it does not close within 1000ms I want it to stop the loop and pass the timout error to my pass fail button.  I cant get the timout to work.

Hi tech11,

I have posted an example here that hopefully should put you on the right path.  I put notes in the case structures where you would have to add code and you will have to add the boolean invoke node functionality as well (There was a sub VI called from the main VI that I did not have).  I hope this helps!
