Hi
See,what actually testing is, process of verification and validation of an application. It comprises of getting the desired output on the application of some given input data.
Now, since you want to go for automated testing, so this involves testing through the software.Since you have planned to use labVIEW, so labVIEW can talk to hardware very efficiently.
now. we come to your transistor. what you need to do is apply some voltage (range must be mentioned in the datasheet) at the input end and check whether you are getting the same output as is mentioned in the datasheet. If you get the same output on application of valid input, your transistor is OK.
This is the logic. now start working on this

Hi,
yes, thanks somil, i need to prepare my software first, but my problem is i dont have the proper knowledge in labview.so i was hoping i can learn more by using the VI. anyone can send me the vi?
Thanks to srikrishnaNF for the ebook, but im new in LabVIEW and i cant understand the process. it really helpfull
actually i dnt really know how to test the transistor using labVIEW
::do i need to build a circuit in labVIEW? (need to use spice first or i can design in labVIEW?)
:: i need to use oscilloscope, and dc supply isnt it?

Exactly.
see, electronics works on dc. And oscilloscope acts as the eyes for an electronics engineer. so you definitely need them. besides this, you might need the function generator too.
Ok, answer this. if i ask you to test the transistor manually, what procedure you will follow?

what procedure?
you are telling the equipments required, not the procedure.
tell me one more thing, have you ever done testing of any component earlier?
i will definitely try to help you out with this

Or the procedure you are asking maybe very difficult to explain. :smiley-wink:

who knows!!!!
