transparency of objects changes with camera position in 3d picture

Hi all,

I am trying to use the 3d picture tools to render a semitransparant object that intersects with another object. I can't seem to get the blending settings right, see attachment. When the camera turns, the blue object switches from transparent to opaque and back. What are the correct blending settings to get this working right? Thanks in advance!

I cant open the file, and haven't worked with the 3d picture tool, so use a big grain of salt. 🙂

3d graphics often use parameters for the "textured" side of the vertexes, not the backside. Is it opaque when you look at the back side?

Hi Yamaeda,

The file I attached was for LabVIEW 11. Here is a version saved in LabVIEW 8 format, perhaps you can open that?

I am not sure what you mean by "backside". The object is a sphere. We are always looking at its outside, which changes appearance suddenly when the camera moves around it.

Bye,

Hello,

I don't know that you could solve your problem or not but I have a question.

Do you see this behavior just when the camera moves?

You can check the attachment which represent the same problem I think.

Hope this helps !!\

Regards,
