tree selection doesn't work when vi running

I've added a tree control to my LabVIEW app with 6 columns, the children each have unique tags as does the parent.  I can not select any of the items while my VI is executing -- I can, however, make selections when the app is not running.  The selection mode is "0 to 1 item".

Any thoughts?

It's probably disabled (right click>>Advanced>>Enabled State) or an indicator.

If this doesn't help, try copying it to another VI and see if this still happens. If it isn't, something in your code is locking it.

If you can't find it, post your code.

It IS enabled.  When copying the tree to a new VI and doing a "Run Continuously", nothing can be selected.  I've posted the file to http://home.earthlink.net/~dgholstein/problem_tree.vi in case someone would like a look.  Thanks in advance for your help.

Dan,

It is an indicator. Change it to control and it works.

Also, Run continuously is probably not the best way to test it: Each execution is so fast that the probability that you will click on a selection while it is ready to reapond may be very low. Enclose it in a while loop with a wait or event structure.
