Yes, the directions says that we need to download it from that web page. I downloaded the 50mb version. I have a "LocalVIExec86.exe" file which is 50mb.
So, what do I need to do. Isn't there any manual way to uninstall the program? So that I can re-install it and if my browsers still crash then I can try to use it on a non-Windows 7 computer.

Try to install the 8.6.1 runtime engine from here, followed by the 1.22MB component that excludes the runtime from your original link.
See if it makes a difference....

I installed that 108mb file. But then when I try to install the 1.22mb file I get the error: Error 1311. Source file not found. C:\National Instruments Downloads\LabVIEW\Local VI Execution\8.6\No RTE\lvsound2_mft.cab. Verify that the file exist and you can access it. I am guessing the problem is with the LabVIEW runtime engine because when I click to All Programs, in the National Instruments folder I only see NI License Manager and DataSocket folder. So, when I click to NI License Manager it eventually asks for a serial number which I dont have?

I still couldn't find a way to uninstall the program. Anyone has any ideas? I will greatly appreciate any help...
