Solved!

Hi,

I want to uninstall NI product on my computer, but the NI unistall option does not appear on control panel. Also, I can't find 'NIUninstaller' folder or 'uninst.exe' under National Instruments folder ( also I checked shared folder, it is the same). Is that possible for anyone send me a copy of the 'NIUninstaller' folder?

or

My I use other app like MSI blast to uninstall NI products?

Hi Leon,

usually you will find an entry "National Instruments" in the programs list:

Calling this item will start an uninstaller!

I just did this last week.  On my Windows 7 x64 machine, there was a "National Instruments Software" entry under Programs and Features in Control Panel. If I double-click it, I get the following screen:

Uninstall.png

I chose "Remove All", then took a four-hour coffee break ... (I had 1300 or so things to be removed ...).  The re-install (not as much) was not much slower ...

P.S. -- I notice you failed to mention (a) which version(s) of LabVIEW you were trying to remove and (b) from what sort of machine and OS.  If you're talking about taking LabVIEW 3 out of a Mac, I certainly can't make any useful suggestions ...

Thanks all, maybe I havent clearly discribe my situation.

OS: windows 10; Labview: v 14.0

I do tried to follow the recommened way (http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/AC6ED75D3D93375686256E8E00245F0D) to uninstall NI programs, but it doesnt work for me.

The reasons for that are:

1. As the image shows, I cant find any NI program in uninstall or change a program.

Capture.PNG

2. In NI folder, I found shared folder but in that folder the 'NIUninstaller' does not exist, which means I dont have 'uninst.exe' for uninstalling the programs.

So, what can I do next ?

Can anyone copy the 'NIUninstaller' folder for me?

or

Can I using other program like MSI blast to uninstall the NI programs?

Are these mostly empty folders in the NI hierarchy? Maybe things already got uninstalled and these are just the leftover bits?

No, all of the program are there. Only the NIuninstaller folder disappear. Also, I can find NI products uninstall info. in register but I cant do more.

Thx Sabri.

I tried. There is not folder named 'NIuninstaller' under shared folder, and obviously I cant find uninst.exe at all.
