unnable to connect with crio via project explorer

Hello

I'm having problems connecting the CRIO-9073 via the project explorer.

I can see my crio in my project, but when I try to connect, it deploys for 5 seconds, then I get the message 'failed to connect to target'.

I can connect the crio within NI MAX, I configured the network settings with static IP.

I can also ping the crio via the command prompt, I have labview realtime module installed.

I also did a disk format on the crio and reinstalled all the software on the crio.

Do I need other software? Or anybody other ideas.

In the attachements you can find the error message and the list of software installed on my host pc and crio.

Thanks!

You installed all of the software that you could on the cRIO initially, right? This is the suggested way to do it, then remove items if you need more memory down the line.

What method of adding the cRIO to the project did you use? Did you add it by finding it on the network, or by manually adding it and then entering in the IP address? Whichver way you did it, try the other way as well. I've had issues in the past and I think manually adding the cRIO solved the problem.

Are you connected to the cRIO in MAX at the same time you are trying to connect in your project?

Cheers

Uh, you know what... Have you installed the LabVIEW Realtime Module?

Cheers

thank you for fast answer 🙂

Yes checked the whole list of software to install on the crio.

As i'm not sure with software I need on the crio I didn't remove any software (I'm new to labview).

I first added it 'automaticly' , but also tried it by adding it manually and enter the IP.

Both didn't work and gave me the same error message.

Yes Im connecting with the explorer while MAX is open and connected with the CRIO

Have you installed the LabVIEW Real-Time Module?

It is an add-on to LabVIEW and would explain you being able to connect to the device in MAX, but not in LabVIEW. You have the LabVIEW 2014 section of your installed software collapsed, so we can't see if you have the Real-Time module installed.

Cheers

I finally managed to make a connection with crio via the explorer.

I did a diskformat, changed the static IP adresses of the host pc and crio and unistalled some software on the crio to have more free memory.

I had only 3 mb of free software of a total of 60,5 mb. After unistall I had 10 mb of free memory.

So I'm not sure what solved the problem.
