usb-6215 with labview 7

Hi all,

I'm new to LabVIEW, and am having some problems.  apologies for the simplicity of these questions!  I've been through as many tutorials as I can, but am still struggling!

I've been given an NI USB-6215 to work with, and labview 7 to work on.  first of all, is it possible to use this device with labview 7?  my first target is to get a simple datalogger running to collect varying voltages, with a trigger to start collecting data once the input voltage reaches a certain level.

I would be grateful of some help on these matters. is there any example VI's that have a similar purpose?

cheers,

Hi pjsaczek,

Unfortuneately the earliest version of NI-DAQmx that supports your device is 8.3 which does not offer support for LabVIEW 7.0. You will need LabVIEW 7.1 or later. Once you aquire the correct version of LabVIEW then the example shipped with DAQmx will have VI's to aquire data based on an analog trigger level. (Help>>Find Examples>>Hardware Input and Output>>DAQmx>>Analog Input).
