usb webcamera

I am using the shipped example ' Grab with property page.vi' for image capture in order to capture image from my wireless webcamera. The program is working fine when I use the program on laptop #1 (windows XP). I have another laptop #2 which has built in webcamera. I want to use  laptop #2 (windows vista) because its more faster than laptop #1. But i am having freezing problems when I use laptop #2. I disabled the built in webcamera so that i get image only from the other webcame I wanna use. How should I solve this problem. Any suggestion is appreciated.

Thank you.

Mozill,

Currently the NI-IMAQ for USB driver has not been tested or verified with Windows Vista.  Microsoft released a new version of DirectX and DirectShow for Windows Vista.  My guess is that some inner workings of these components have changed and in the process caused problems with the NI-IMAQ for USB driver that utilizes DirectShow.

NI-IMAQ for USB is provided as a free tool for customers, but it is not fully tested and supported to the same extent as our official driver releases.  With this in mind, any information on Vista support is currently unknown.

Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.

Regards,
Luke H
