use device connected windows 7

Hi

 

 

How to use labview to check a usb devices are connected in windows 7. i think devcon.exe can be used, is there another way without use third party software?

Is this an NI device?  If it is then you can just use the System Configuration API to do this.  If it is not an NI device I am not really sure how you can do that (You can do this, I just don't know how off the top of my head).

 

This is a pretty old VI that appears to work on my computer running LabVIEW 2014, it might give you some idea of what you can do.
