using R&S SFU via GPIB

Hi,
I am currently using an ADLINK PCI-GPIB 3488 to configure my instruments (SFU). It works fine but when I'm trying to use the drivers provided by Rhode & Schwartz (rssfu_lv7_1_40.msi) the error "RSSFU Initialize.vi<ERR>Driver Status:  (Hex 0xBFFF00A5) The interface type is valid but the specified interface number is not configured." is returned. Even changing the address of the SFU.
I've also tested the communication with the previous VI that was programmed and it works. I attached it for comparison.

Is there anything I forgot in the installation of the driver? Does the ADLINK board support this type of driver? Is there other drivers available that may use other method for GPIB communication?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Bim

OK, it works, I had to declare it in MAX as AT-GPIB TNT (non plug&play)

Hi,

You just have to open MAX, find the peripheral section, find the GPIB section, find your device (which should be undeclared), click right on it and you should be able to install it. Then it will propose you which driver is corresponding to your device. Here you have to select the good one  (see message above)

I have the problem of MAX not recognizing my VISA Resources.

Please advise, how did you solve that.

Best,
