using an SPX222 ohaus balance

I have a program that reads a balance and processes some data. The program has worked well for 2 years in 2 older computers with LabVIEW2018SP1. I recently bought a new computer, installed LABVIEW 2018SP1 in it, and... the balance reads data only in the beginning and then it stops. Has anyone worked with the driver for the Ohaus SPX222?

Why and how does the balance "stop"?

How do you connect the balance to your computer? (The website mentions 5 different options!)
