using serial port to read the test data from zilog Z8F642

Did anyone has the following experience:

  Using the serial port to read out the test data string from the zilog microcontroller Z8F642 (labview 6.1)

   the data looks like

     Icc= 50 uA
     Iee= 30 uA
     ......

   I tried to use the VISA serial port. I got the error message: Visa address is valid. But the current VISA address is not accessable.

Any idea?

That message means that another resource is using the com port and windows doesn't permit more tha one at a time. Do you also have Hyperterminal or some other com program open?
