Hi everyone,
I would like to measure the sheet resistance of a thin, square foil using the Van der Pauw method. I have a Keysight 34970A measuring device and a 34901A multiplexer module. In this context, I have a question about the application of the 34901A module (or any other ohmmeter with four-wire measurement capability). Since this module supports four-wire measurements for resistors, we would like to know whether it is possible to perform the measurement as follows:
- One side of the sample (contacts A and B) is connected to CH01 on multiplexer (current source),
- the opposite side (contacts C and D) is connected to CH11 multiplexer (voltage measurement),
- then the four-wire resistance measurement mode is selected in the device,
- the Van der Pauw circuit is switched via relay/matrix to measure the other sides analogously.(via Labview)
Is this possible? Or is an external power source absolutely necessary?
Can anyone help? I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!
