wavlength usb4000

Hi,

I have a usb4000 oceanoptics spectrometer and would like to extract a spectrum of intensity vs wavelength. However upon outputting the spectrum data to a text file I do not see a wavelength or x axis column with the values as I would see in the usb4000 default software which gives me a text file with the x axis ( wavelength) values in one column and the light intensity (y axis) in a second column.

Anyone know why this may be?

P.S- If I am being unhelpfully vague and/or you need more details please let me know!

Thanks!

Never mind problem solved! Maybe I deserve a Kudos 😉

Hi,

I'm using Waveform Chart and I have Time (x-axis) and Amplitude (y-axis). Do you know how to convert my x-axis to Wavelength and y-axis to Absorbance/Intensity/Concentration? If you have a link please send me one.

Thanks

Not until you document your answer here in the Forums.

Hey, I would need a little more information. Do you think you could post a screen shot of your program please?

Are you able to see the attached screen shot?

The axis on "Waveform Chart 2" I have currently are Time (x-axis) and Amplitude (y-axis)

Are you able to convert those axis into wavelength and absorbance/intensity/concentration?

If you can send me a link, that would be very helpful

Thanks

Edit: Also, are you able to reset the x-axis for each run, as you can see my Time axis starts at 5690779. I would like it to reset back to 0.

If my previous queston was a little hard. Perhaps someone could help me explain how to convert from "Spectrum by Pixels" to "Wavelength"?

I have a guess it has something to do with 2*pi, frequency and period?

Hi,

Thanks for attaching that screenshot! There is another labview vi called read spectral waveform. It is included in the downloadable labview instrument driver. If you output to a graph from there you should get intensity by wavelength. If you have any questions please let me know!

I will try that now, the last time I tried it gave me some sort of error.

I'll try and get it working

Thanks,
