web publishing

I am presently working on remote laboratory.

I have published some labview Vi's using remote panel (web publishing tool). They are not accessible from the internet outside my local network . I believe this is because my Host PC has a private IP address. Does anyone have an idea how i can make this published VI's accessible on the internet.

You need to setup the correct port-forwarding options on the router that connects you to the internet.

This should be explained in the documentation of the router, if you are in a corporate system you should contact your IT administrators.

The port you need to forward is port 80.

My IT guy said Port 80 is already being used, and that i can only use ports 8084-8088.  Is there some reason labview wont work with these ports?
