what i see in the voltmeter is not what the computer displays

Here is a picture of what I mean.  Create an array constant (found in array palette), and drop the I/O channel name into the array constant to make the purple channel input.

Don't pay attention to broken wires above.  This was a result of copying a portion of the loop in the block diagram into a picture.  If you wire this, there will be no broken wires.
