what is difference between TDM and TDMS

Can Anybody tell me? Whats the difference between TDM and TDMS?

Hi Rajmohan,

As outlined in this Developer Zone Article, the two file formats differ in their construction of the data. TDMS files are all binary implementations, whilst TDM files possess an XML header.

I realize I'm a bit late to the party, but it is actually this tutorial and this article that mention the XML header difference.

I am personally wondering what the difference between TDMS 1.0 and 2.0 really is other than the array dimension being fixed to 1 and the seemingly unsubstantiated claim that file writing speed has been increased by a factor of 4.
