Hi,

The quickest way is, of course, get your local NI office contacted. However, if you do consider to get one, why 6 😉

NI does not sell older versions than the most actual software, e.g. currently that would be LabVIEW 8.0. If you own a newer version and need a certain version for some specific reasons you could try to contact your local NI sales office and talk with them to get you a copy of that old version. If you have a good relationship with them this is usually doable.

If these are no options you could try eBay or something similar. But beware that some of what is sold there might not be legal.

Hi Slugger,

Please do NOT buy illegal copies of LabVIEW 6 on eBay.

National Instruments will not stock the official LV 6.0 CDs anymore, due to the fact that only the current and previous two versions are actively supported. (LV 7.1 and later).

However, if you contact NIUK Sales you can purchase a copy of LV 8, and then use the serial number from your licensed copy to activate CDs of the full version of LV 6 that we can create for you.

Please be aware that the LV 6 CDs will not come with any of the official packaging or instructions and that National Instruments will not be able to offer you any support for the software other than through the discussion forums, as it is not a supported version.

If you can I would advise that you try and use a more recent version of LV for your application. As in the event that you require help with your application it will be supported and there will be more version specific information resources available to you i.e. most example code and Knowledge Bases on ni.com will be relating to later versions of LV.

I hope that this answers you question
