Also not quite - but keep in mind that most times when you want to use a local, you shouldn't.

I've used LV for probably 1000+ hours now and I'm still learning, but I think I understood the key basics after a couple hundred hours.

I prefer to forbid the use of Locals so that it forces new programmers to find alternative to using them.  Otherwise, they often tend to abuse them.  Plus, you get to learn more of a language when a challenge is imposed...  😉  😄

 

I never counted how many hows I've been programming...  in LabVIEW...  However, on a daily basis, I realize how little I know about the language.  And, with the releases of newer versions, I know I will never fully know the language as it evolves on a yearly basis.

 

Nevertheless, it is a fun language.
