If your card has a frequency counter on it, you should ask ComputerBoards if they have a function for it. If you are digitizing a signal, then you can use Extract Single Tone Information on the Analyze>Waveform Measurments palette.

hi Dennis thanks for ur reply i searched for the wavefor measurment function under analyze but i didn't find the "analyze" icon on the functions palette do you have any idea why?
also i found some functions like add wavefore, substract wavefore, search waveform, but what i need is measure the waveform ,i need something like the fft vi of the labview.

The analysis functions are the dividing line between the base package and the Full package. I am guessing that you have the base version of LabVIEW.

What version of LabVIEW do you have and what package (base or full). I don't think any of the fft based functions come with the base version. If you have a Waveform palette, do you have a Waveform Measuremtns sub-palette under that. The Extract Single Tone function can also be found there assuming you have at least the full LabVIEW version.

Dear Dennis,

i sent to computerboards technical support i hope they would reply , i sent once to them and they never replied also i don't know why they don't have a discussion forum as the National Instrument ,actually i was wrong to buy a DAQ board from the computerboards product it's cheaper but i am lsoing my time since there in no technical support .
i have Labview 6.1 base version with the universal Library for Labview i bought in may 2003.
do you think what should i do?

thanks Dennis ,and all who replied to me
