will labview 5.0.1 run under windows xp?

I would like to junk our old data acq computer and install our current version of Labview, which is 5.0.1f, on a new Dell running Windows XP. I have seen from the Discussion Forum that installing NI software on XP machines led to error messages, but that the product was not affected. Has anyone tried older Labview versions on XP?

Officially LabVIEW 5.0 is not supported on Windows XP which means we cannot guarantee it will work. If there is a problem, you are on your own. As an experiment, I installed LabVIEW 5.0 on XP myself and other than the wrong OS message, it seemed to work fine.
