Hello
I have a chassis dyno that is controlled by a pci 8255 board.(decision computers pci board) the computer is running windows 2000 .All works fine but I wanted to upgrade computer .
I have changed to windows xp. changed the data acquisition card to the new computer.
The problem I have is the input channels now appear to have changed and are giving me incorrect readings
Can anyone shed some light on my problem
Thanks

Hm, you are talking about "Input channels and wrong readings". But, as far as I know - and I do know - the 8255 is a Image Acquisition Board.
So what exactly are thoose wrong readings?

Thanks Christian
Decision computers card part #DCI98120406 .
The problem is when I run the dyno programme . The logged channels are mixed up . What I mean by that is the air temp will come out on the Lambda channel etc.
The programme will run ok just the channels seam to be confused .
If I put the card back into the old computer everything works fine again. ?
Thanks

If you are using a 3rd party board, I'm not sure at all why you posted the question here. It sounds like the problem that you need to ask Decision Computer.

Sorry if I am posting in the wrong forum and about aftermarket boards.
I purchased the system as it is ,I havent built it.It apparantly runs labview as a base.
I have also asked the manufacturer of the boards and the manufacturer of the dyno system the same questions .
It was a generic question really
What would cause the system to change an input channel .ie: the air tempreture is showing on the Lambda channel etc.
All I have done is changed it to a windows xp platform.
Once again I am sorry if it is a silly question but I thought someone might have had a similar problem and could shed some light on it.
Thanks.
