wobbling frequency of a sine wave

Hello,

I have to wobble the frequency of a sine wave (constant amplitude and offset) from 0Hz to 4kHz during 20s. This signal will be used as analog output of my NI 6715 DAQ card.
Can anybody help me to find a smart solution ?

Many thanks in advance,

Hi Magnus!

Probably you can create a waveform (I attached an example with your desired values) and  write this waveform with the DAQmx write vi.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Best regards,
Hendrik

Hi Hendrik,

thank you very much for the vi, the signal generation works fine.

Now I have one more Problem: the duration of the frequency sweep should be approx. 20s, so how must I configure my anlog output? (I am using traditional DAQ, not DAQmx)

(I had another idea: to stay longer at one frequency by adding several periodes of one frequency one after another, but how?)

Thank you very much,

Magnus

Good evening!

How about a dumb solution that works just fine?
