Do you have the LabVIEW real-time module installed? If I remember right you have to have it installed to see new remote devices option. It is most certainly an installation issue, we just need to figure out what you are missing. I would double check the readme for the WSN and make sure that you have appropriate software installed. You can see what you have installed in MAX>> My System >> Software and the NI License manager in the start menu.
