xml-rpc in Server 2008

Solved!
Go to solution

I have two systems with two different computers and two operating systems.

Sys 1 NI PXI  computer (number ???) Windows XP

Sys 2 HP Dual Xeon processors, Server 2008

I have setup XML-RPC on both systems Labview 2010, MAX 4.7.7 (I believe) trying to drive Agilent 33522A Func Gen over USB

Sys 1 works as expected 1.Run INIT   2.perform functs 3.close This works whether performing the operations locally or via XML-RPC

Sys 2 works as expected when running locally, when the XML-RPC server is started it seems to wok if I DO NOT close but can run INIT repeatedly opening a new session each time. When close is run the following INIT gets an error. (I am not near the machine now and do not have the error number)

Does XML-RPC have difficulties running over Windows Server 2008? Suggestions?

Well according to our support pages Windows Server 2003 LabVIEW and its modules should have full functionality. That leads me to think that something on the Windows Server 2003 is interferring.

I've found a few other external links about it, but nothing confirming how to fix it.

Have you been able to make any progress? Could you post the actual error code?

Both computer have begun functioning and the problem is gone (for now?) We did nothing except give the computers the night off and maybe a reboot. But reboot did not fix the problem before.

I do not have the error number unless the problem reappears.

I consider the problem fixed until further notice.....
