clint,

I have not seen an error like this one from an NI installer before. Could you run the installer again, but this time capture a log. This KB Article has instructions on how to do this. Post the log here, or send it to me in a private message and I will see if that gives us a place to look next.

Also, this looks like Windnows XP. Is this 32-bit or 64-bit (remember most NI software, including CVI, does not support Windows XP 64-bit). Does your customer have administrator privleges?

Hi Engineer D Biel,

Thank you for your message. This problem is gone with a tiny sticky dust after my client clean the interface of the SOC (System on chip ) module processor. My client noticed a small sticky dust on the faulty module. The CVI software is succesfully installed after the dust has been removed.

The OS is the windows XP embedded full features. It's not Windows XP 64-bit. My client had installed CVI software succedfully on the other identical device before. This is the current status. Thank you for giving me to tip but this problem is no longer exists. I am curious why the dust effect the CVI installation but not the Windows XP ?  Any way, thank you for your suggestion.

Best Regards,

Clint
