my brother before asking help i search in all the support this the file found't in your link this driver is for gpib not for rs232

I have not used this driver myself, but the NI site says serial...

What is the name that the system gave to your device? This data type uses a VISA resource data type (ViRsrc) that handles both serial and GPIB communication. Try to initialize the device with hp34401a_init and the correct name and see if the function throws any errors.

Deep thread revival.

I've downloaded this driver and tried following these instructions, but although the installer has output a load of .cab and .msi files, there are no .fp or compilable source files. What next?

I haven't installed the driver and I won't do it, but if the file outputs .cab and .msi files I suppose it will have generated also an installer that will extract from the the relevant files. Isn't there any setup.exe or similar program?
