6251 external clock

Hi we are planning on using an external clock for the 6251. The rate is 10MHz. Will the PLL scale up the clock such that the output will be 80MHz.

Hi Charles,

Yes, you should be able to use your 10MHz external clock to PLL to the sample clock of 80MHz.  I would take a look at the following discussion forum thread found here.  It discusses the same question and might have some additional information you might be able to use.
