8.5.1 Dev envoronment closes immediately after initiating a search

CVI Ver 8.5.1.  This behavior just started this morning.  Conditions: The workspace is open, in debug mode, and one .c file open.  The project is built and all is saved.  I select one project global variable by double clicking and attempt to perform a project wide search for the occurance of that variable in all other .c files.  The development environment and all associated files are shut down immediately.  Has anyone seen similar behaviors in this version of CVI?

Hey Ryykker,

I have a few questions for you that should help us troubleshoot this a little further:

1. Does this happen with all source files and projects or is it this one project in particular?

2. You said that this behavior started this morning. Has anything changed recently that might tell us what caused this?

3. How exactly are you initiating the project wide search? Are you clicking in the project pane, hitting Ctrl-F, and typing in the variable name or are you using another method?

4. When you reload CVI after the crash, is there any indication that the crash occurred?
