Do not tell anyone, but there already is a customer of mine that is using DOS programs in production environment and I don't succeed in convincing them to ugrade the equipments!
And even that Apple-clone from Digital Research that helped me in my first post-graduate training course

I even remember the cartridge drive loading something like 1.2 kB of software... and the GEM on Atari ST, and its bombs...
But your customer is right: do not touch a working system without need... I am a bit afraid of next spring replacing all XP computers
