Acquiring video at 30fps from 4 sources...

Hi,
I'm going to embark on a project that would acquire 8-bit monochrome images at 30fps each from up to 4 distinct cameras, perform some image processing functions and then displaying the images on to the screen.  The sytem would presumably be PC104-based.  Assuming that the cameras are analog, what NI components (hardware and software) do I need to accomplish this task.  The only component I have is Labwindows CVI development environment running on windows.  Do I need to worry about extraordinary memory and processor-speed requirements?  Any other piece of advice?
Thanks
Owais

Hello Owais,

As for hardware, you may to take a look at this document.  It details the different analog (and digital, etc) framegrabber boards made by NI.  If you need 4 video inputs, you will probably want to look into the PCI-1410.

The NI-IMAQ driver is included with any framegrabber board you purchase, and is available to download for free.  To do anything more than simply acquire, view, and save an image you will need Vision Development Module.
