Hi roslocke,

Do you have any other National Instruments software or Visual Studio loaded on the machine? The reason for asking is that if you did, you could try to browse ActiveX servers installed on the computer using OLE Viewer in Visual Studio or other viewers in other NI environments (LabVIEW, etc) to see if they throw similiar errors. If so, then it would seem that all programs are having difficulty accessing ActiveX servers on the computer.  However, if you are able to view communicate with ActiveX servers using another application, then we could narrow it down to a CVI issue. At that point I would probably recommend a reinstall of CVI to see if it has any effect. Let me know either way, thanks!

Thanks Jon, I'll install Visual Studio on the PC and give that a try.
