Are there problems with CVI5.01 and WinXp

I have installed CVI5.01 on WinXp. If I start to compile my project it works very well. If I exit my program an recompile the project WinXp shuts down with blue screen, I only can see the remark "bad pool caller...."
At the moment I cannot use CVI6.00. So do I have to downgrade to WinNT?

We haven't tested CVI 5.0 on Windows XP since it was released years before XP. It is definately possible that CVI 5.0 would have some problems running in XP since it was built with a much earlier version of Windows framework. We don't have any specific reports of things in CVI 5.0 that do not work in XP.

Hurti,

Even though we haven't seen any problems with CVI 5.0.x in Windows XP, we do not officially support this version of CVI in XP. The only version NI officially supports is 6.0 and later (go to http://ni.com/info, and type "winxp" in the info code field).

Are you able to reproduce the blue screen with one of the examples that ship with CVI? Or is this related to your particular project?

Azucena
