Steph...

I just checked on my CVI5.5 and its Ok there too. I suspect its probably making a lower level call into a Windows Lib or something (for the file dialog box).

Try reinstalling Service Pack 1 or 2 on your W2K.

Have you installed any new software lately ?

Hi Steph,

The Add Files To Project... dialog is an inherited and slightly modified Windows system dialog. CVI adds the Directory History field, the Selected Files field, and the Ok, Remove, and Remove All buttons to this standard system dialog.

We have never seen this issue before in house, but there may very well be something wrong on your particular system that causes these buttons to not show. I would like you to consider the following questions and troubleshooting techniques in order to diagnose the problem a little better for us:

1) Are the Directory History and Selected Fields also missing?

2) If you open the File >> Open... menu selection dialog, does it have the Directory History field in it as well? (this is another modified system dialog t
hat we use and I am curious about its behavior)

3) In the Add Files to Project... dialog, if you try tabbing from one control to the next does it appear as though when you hit tab that one control loses focus and it takes a couple of more tab-strokes to return focus to one of the visible controls in the dialog?

4) If the latter theoretical situation does happen and you hit tab so that no visible control has focus and you then hit the enter key, what happens? One hypothesis is that the controls are there but they have been moved offscreen.

5) In any case we may need to know what OS you are using to try giving you more suggestions on, so please make sure to answer this as well.
