Hello Kumar,

The error you are seeing is not expected, though there are some ways that your system could get into a state that would cause this error.  In order to determine the cause of the error, I would like you to create a debug log, using the steps described in this post.  Create the file, then post it back here, and I will be happy to look into your error.

Dear Mert ,
Thanks for the  link you have given. I did many things. nothing worked out. SO i have uninstalled all NI softwares & drivers. Then I  installed only CVI8.0 & NI driver 7.4.1. Now i could build the Distribution kit. Thanks for your help.

Hello Kumar,

I'm glad you were able to solve your problem, though I'm sorry you had to uninstall everything first.  The other situations we have seen this happen, it has been because one deployable NI driver depends on some other NI support component that did not get upgraded during install, and is not deployable.  Because the dependency cannot be deployed, the deployment feature complains.  This should phase out (and you should never see this again, since you uninstalled all the old, non-deployable drivers on your system) in time, as all the newer versions of the drivers are deployable.

If you don't mind, it would be helpful to us if you could still post a debug log from your failing builds, if you have one.  We are trying to find out more about how customers are getting into this state, and how to best prevent it.

Thanks.

Hi Kumar,

The file would not have been created unless you followed the steps I mentioned in the post I linked earlier.  If you did follow these steps, the file would be found at Documents and Settings\<your user name>\Local Settings\Temp\distBuildDbg.log.  If you did create this file when you were trying to fix your problem, please just attach the file (when you reply, there will be a place below the gray border for adding attachments); I cannot post my email address here.

If you did not create this file, that is okay. I'm just glad you were able to solve your problem.

Thanks again.
