Building with compile.exe makes CVI project inconsistent

Solved!
Go to solution

Hi all,

I have to build CVI projects using the command line compile.exe. This works well, except that after compilation when I open the project with LabWindows/CVI, the files (.h, .c, .uir...) are not sorted by category anymore (Source Files, Include Files, User Interface Files) in the project tree.

I generate DLL from the projects and I use the autoincrementation of the version number. When I deactivate the autoincrementation, the problem

disappears but I absolutely need this option activated.

Is there any solution to keep the files sorted by category after command line compilation?

Thanks,

David

PS: I'm using LabWindows/CVI 2009 (v9.1.0).

Hi David,

This looks like a bug. I've been able to reproduce the problem and written a bug report (id: 240425). It will be fixed in the next CVI release.

As of now, I'm not aware of any workaround. Once the bug is investigated I'll let you know if we find something.

Sorry about the inconvenience!

Luis
