I have some good news. I've managed to reproduce the crash that you were experiencing when using Ctrl + G. This is somehow related to the behavior change that Wolfgang described in this post. The 2nd good news is that the bug has been considered to be fixed in an upcoming upgrade of CVI. The bug ID is 182241.

If this helps, I noticed that the bug occurs when split window is enabled and you're doing the first Go back operation in that window. However, I might be mistaken. The crash does't seem to be very consistent on my setup.

In installed CVI 2019 and getting around in it. 

I very much dislike the editor horizontal line guides. Any way to turn these off, or maybe just turn off the top line? I think I might like it that way, but when scrolling and jumping around the screen gets very "busy" and distracting. Would like to try it with just an underline, but gone completely is preferable to the dancing lines.

I do like the indention guides and see where they can be turned off. They are static however. The two moving horizontal lines are a big nuisance.
