I seem to be having the same issue as described in this thread:

but I'm not sure what the resolution was? Is there a bug fix to be able to attach CVI 8.1.1 to ClearCase?

Hi Bjoles,
There are no know issues with ClearCase and CVI 8.0. We issues we have seen before have been resolved have been resolved by customers changing settings on there end.
